This agenda contains a brief general description of each item the Commission will consider. PURSUANT TO THE LOCAL EMERGENCY CONCERNING THE COVID-19 VIRUS DECLARED BY THE BREA CITY COUNCIL ON MARCH 19, 2020 AND EXECUTIVE ORDER N-29-20 ISSUED BY GOVERNOR GAVIN NEWSOM ON MARCH 18, 2020, THE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING WILL BE CONDUCTED TELEPHONICALLY VIA THE ZOOM TELECONFERENCING PLATFORM. 

To limit the spread the COVID-19 virus, the Council Chambers will not be open to the public. Public comments will be accepted in in writing and by teleconference.  The meeting will also be broadcast live at www.cityofbrea.net.

  
Procedures for Addressing the Commission
The Commission encourages public participation during Public Hearings and under Matters from the Audience. State Law prohibits the Commission from responding to or acting upon matters not listed on this agenda.
  • Written comments must be to the Planning Division at planning@cityofbrea.net no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.  The email subject line should state: "Brea Planning Commission Meeting” followed by the number of the relevant agenda item and/or “Non-Agenda Item.” Summaries of all written comments will be read during the meeting by City Staff.
  • To provide comments by teleconference, members of the public must contact City Staff at (714) 990-7674 or planning@cityofbrea.net no later than 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 to obtain the Zoom Meeting ID number.  Teleconference participants will be muted until recognized at the appropriate time by the Commission.
  • To watch the meeting via Zoom, members of the public must contact City Staff at (714) 990-7674 or planning@cityofbrea.net no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 to obtain the Zoom Meeting ID number. The meeting will also be broadcast live at www.cityofbrea.net.

9.   Request to continue Agenda Item No. 9: General Plan Amendment No. GPA 2021-01 to clarify the purpose and intention of The Planned Community (PC) Zone within the City Code.
 
CONSENT ITEMS - The Planning Commission approves all Consent Calendar matters with one motion unless Commission or Staff requests further discussion of a particular item. Items of concern regarding Consent Calendar matters should be presented during “Matters from the Audience."
